Turquoise is a figurative mineral painting inspired by the geological body of turquoise stone. Its blue-green tones, pale mineral fields and darker natural veining evoke the presence of the stone itself: a physical surface with depth, density and internal movement.

The work is painted entirely in oil, through layered passages that create the sensation of matter slowly forming across the canvas. Soft luminous areas meet darker fractures, allowing the composition to shift between transparency, opacity and mineral weight.

The dark veins act as a natural matrix. They structure the surface, connect the masses of color and reinforce the sensation of volume, as if the stone were emerging from within the painting.

Rather than simply illustrating turquoise, the piece translates its geological structure into a large-scale pictorial presence: luminous, dense and quietly monumental.
